This update took a bit longer than expected, but there’s a lot in it—new features, quality-of-life improvements, and some consistency updates across the site. Here’s the overview. 🙂

Daily Reading Comprehension (Beta)

There’s a new section under Reading called Daily Reading Comprehension. It generates a full week of reading—one article per day and 10 questions per article—based on the topic(s) you choose. Want a week of reading about Super Mario? Go for it. Want a week on the Constitution? That works too. You can also set the grade level and topic.
Note: This feature is AI-generated, so please proofread before assigning to students.

Spelling Snake Boxes Sheets

I wasn’t sure what to call these, so we’re going with Snake Boxes (they kind of look like a snake… if you squint). These sheets have students fill in blanks using the “shape” of the lowercase letters in the word as a clue.
For anyone keeping count: there are now 18 different spelling activities you can generate. 🙂

Spelling: Identifying Correct Usage

Correction: it’s actually 19 spelling activities now. 😄
This new sheet takes each spelling word and creates two sentences—one where the word is used correctly, and one where it’s used incorrectly. Students choose the sentence where the word is used properly.

Spelling Bonus and Review Words

This feature has existed for a while, but it was apparently hidden too well—almost nobody was using it. I’ve added it to the bottom of the spelling list so it’s easier to find.
It lets you add bonus and/or review words to your spelling sheets. That’s it… but it’s handy. 🙂

Draw on Problems (beta)

In the one-at-a-time view, you’ll now see a pencil icon on the right. Click it to draw directly on the problem—great for annotations on smartboards and tablets. I have found a few bugs with certain problem types that I've been fixing as I go, but there's also several thousand to go through, so it may be a bit. But most should be working.

Misc UI/UX Changes

Most of these are small (yes, some buttons are shinier), but the more noticeable changes include:
The online learning keypad is now problem-dependent. If a problem only needs a number, you’ll only see number options. If it needs equations or a full keyboard, the appropriate input will appear. The goal is to make it simpler and less confusing for students.
Button colors are now consistent: Submit = gold, Check = blue, etc.
The input keypad now scrolls into view automatically when you tap/click into an input box.

Code Update
I’ve refactored nearly all of the site code. This should improve performance and reliability, and it will make future updates much easier to roll out. I’ve been running this version for several months without major issues, but if something slipped through, please tell me.
I also have several hundred new sheets in progress that should be rolling out over the next few weeks, plus a lot of new interactive content for younger learners—so it’ll be a busy stretch. 🙂
