Custom Sheets Acceptable Use Policy

Last Updated: February 15, 2026

This document (the "Policy") sets forth the rules governing the creation and use of Custom Sheets — any worksheet or educational material generated using CommonCoreSheets.com's tools, including both user-directed tools and AI-powered content generation features (collectively, the "Tools"). This Policy has been put in place to ensure the integrity of Common Core Sheets' intellectual property, to clarify the terms relating to ownership and use of Custom Sheets, and to promote an enjoyable and responsible experience for all users.

By using any of the Tools to create Custom Sheets, you agree to be bound by this Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Tools.

1. Definitions

For the purposes of this Policy:

  • "Custom Sheets" refers to any worksheet, activity, or educational material generated using the Tools, regardless of the method of creation.
  • "User-Directed Sheets" refers to Custom Sheets created by inputting your own content (such as spelling word lists, vocabulary terms, or math problems) into the Tools, which then format and generate worksheets (e.g., word searches, crossword puzzles, matching activities).
  • "AI-Generated Sheets" refers to Custom Sheets where content — such as reading passages, comprehension questions, or other educational text — is generated by artificial intelligence based on topics or parameters you provide.
  • "User Content" refers to any text, data, images, or other material you input into the Tools.

2. Ownership of Custom Sheets

All Custom Sheets — including both User-Directed Sheets and AI-Generated Sheets — are and shall remain the sole and exclusive property of Common Core Sheets. This includes the formatted layout, design, structure, and any AI-generated text or content produced by the Tools.

Without limiting the foregoing, you hereby assign to Common Core Sheets all of your rights, title, and interest in and to all Custom Sheets, including but not limited to any copyrights in the content of any Custom Sheets. If for any reason you are prevented or restricted from assigning any rights in the Custom Sheets to Common Core Sheets, you grant to Common Core Sheets an exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, unconditional, royalty-free, irrevocable license enabling Common Core Sheets to fully exploit the Custom Sheets (or any component thereof) for any purpose and in any manner whatsoever.

You further agree that should Common Core Sheets decide that it is necessary, you will execute any future assignments and/or related documents promptly upon receiving such a request from Common Core Sheets in order to effectuate the intent of this section. To the extent you are prohibited from transferring or assigning your moral rights to Common Core Sheets by applicable laws, to the utmost extent legally permitted, you waive any moral rights or similar rights you may have in all such Custom Sheets, without any remuneration.

3. Permitted Use of Custom Sheets

Custom Sheets are provided for personal, educational, and classroom use only. You may:

  • Download, print, and use Custom Sheets for classroom instruction or home education.
  • Distribute printed copies of Custom Sheets to your students.
  • Share Custom Sheets with fellow educators within your school or institution for non-commercial educational purposes.

4. Restrictions on Use

Unless otherwise authorized by Common Core Sheets in writing, you agree not to:

  • Sell, license, sublicense, or rent any Custom Sheets to any third party.
  • Redistribute Custom Sheets on any other website, application, or digital platform.
  • Include Custom Sheets in any product or service offered for sale, whether tangible or intangible.
  • Use the Tools to mass-generate content for the purpose of creating a competing product or service.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any Common Core Sheets branding, watermarks, or attributions on Custom Sheets.
  • Claim authorship or original ownership of any Custom Sheets or AI-Generated content.

5. Use of Third-Party Content in Custom Sheets

You represent and warrant that neither the User Content you input into the Tools, nor the compilation, arrangement, or display of such content, infringes or will infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property right of any third party.

You further represent and warrant that you will not use or contribute User Content that is unlawful, tortious, defamatory, obscene, invasive of the privacy of another person, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, racist, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate.

In the event that Common Core Sheets learns of the existence of a third-party claim related to a Custom Sheet, Common Core Sheets reserves the right to remove or block the Custom Sheet from any Common Core Sheets-owned platform.

6. AI-Generated Content

6.1 Nature of AI-Generated Content

Certain Tools use artificial intelligence to generate educational content — including reading passages, comprehension questions, and related materials — based on topics or parameters you provide. AI-generated content is produced algorithmically and may not always be perfectly accurate, complete, or free of errors.

6.2 Educator Review Responsibility

You acknowledge and agree that AI-generated content is intended as a supplemental educational resource. It is your responsibility to review all AI-Generated Sheets for accuracy, age-appropriateness, and suitability before distributing them to students. Common Core Sheets does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or educational appropriateness of any AI-generated content.

6.3 Prohibited Inputs

When using AI-powered Tools, you agree not to input topics or parameters that are designed to generate content that is:

  • Obscene, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate for an educational setting.
  • Hateful, discriminatory, or promoting violence against any individual or group.
  • Deliberately misleading or factually deceptive.
  • In violation of any applicable law or regulation.

6.4 No Guarantee of Availability

AI-powered Tools rely on third-party services that may change, become unavailable, or be discontinued. Common Core Sheets does not guarantee the continued availability of any AI-powered features and reserves the right to modify, limit, or remove these features at any time without notice.

7. Use of Custom Sheets by Common Core Sheets

Any user who uses Common Core Sheets' Tools to generate content agrees to allow the content to be used by Common Core Sheets for any purpose, including but not limited to promotional materials, site content, and distribution. Such materials may be sold, distributed, or disseminated at Common Core Sheets' sole discretion without notification to the user.

8. Content Removal and Account Enforcement

Common Core Sheets reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to:

  • Remove any Custom Sheet from its systems at any time and for any reason.
  • Require that a user cease any and/or all development and distribution of a Custom Sheet.
  • Suspend or terminate a user's account for violations of this Policy.
  • Limit or revoke access to the Tools for misuse or abuse.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Tools and all Custom Sheets are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Common Core Sheets makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Tools, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI-generated content, or non-infringement. Common Core Sheets does not warrant that the Tools will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Common Core Sheets shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Tools or any Custom Sheets, including but not limited to damages resulting from errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content.

11. Incorporation of Other Agreements

The terms and conditions of the Common Core Sheets Terms of Use and Privacy Policy are specifically incorporated into this Policy by reference. In the event that the terms of this Policy conflict with the Terms of Use, the terms of this Policy shall supersede and govern over any such conflicting terms with respect to Custom Sheets.

12. Changes to This Policy

Common Core Sheets reserves the right to update or modify this Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Policy on this page. Your continued use of the Tools after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
